The BSW-solar is the German Solar Industry Association. With over 650 members, it represents the interests of the entire solar industry. The BSW was formed from the merger of the old German Solar Industry Association (BSi) and the Association of the Solar Industry (UVS) in 2006.

The Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH (dena) – the German Energy Agency – is the competence centre for energy efficiency and renewable energies. Its many objectives include the rational and thus environmentally friendly production, conversion and use of energy, and the development of sustainable energy systems with a greater emphasis on renewable energy sources.
